Schouwburg Amstelveen biedt gratis tickets aan voor Oekraïense vluchtelingen in Amstelveen voor My Land van Recirquel Company, uitgevoerd door 7 Oekraïense artiesten.
De show
Na de 5 maanden durende uitverkochte tour in Frankrijk, gaat My Land nu verder met touren in Nederland. De Oekraïense artiesten van het stuk blijven optreden en bereiken het publiek met een show gewijd aan Oekraïne. Zelfs tijdens deze oorlogstijd staan ze elke avond op het podium voor hun huis, hun families en hun vrienden, omdat ze geloven dat kunst hun krachtigste instrument is om achter hun thuisland te staan.
Recirquel’s cirque danse-productie bevat zeven van de meest getalenteerde jonge circusartiesten van Oekraïne. Wat meer is, My Land is gemaakt op basis van hun persoonlijke verhalen, het vertelt over de liefde van de artiesten voor en toewijding aan hun thuisland, Oekraïne. Hun roots zijn ook van cruciaal belang in de muziek van de show. Traditionele Tataarse, Moldavische en andere muziekstukken uit Oekraïne werden gebruikt om de partituur van My Land te creëren.
My Land is deels moderne dans, deels circus Cirque du Soleil-achtige performance, met theatrale finesse en de energie van de Oost-Europese acrobatische kunsten om het nieuwe podiumkunstengenre, cirque danse, te creëren. My Land ging in première op Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018, waar het door critici werd beoordeeld als de beste productie van het hele Edinburgh International Festival.

Wil je deze voorstelling bezoeken? Alle Oekraïense vluchtelingen in Amstelveen worden gratis uitgenodigd. Een vrijwilliger/lid van het gastgezin die vluchtelingen begeleidt is ook gratis welkom.

De voorstelling begint op Paaszondag 17 april om 15.00 uur op Stadsplein 100 – Amstelveen. Deuren openen om 14.00 uur.

Schouwburg Amstelveen offers free tickets for Ukranian refugees in Amstelveen to My Land from Recirquel Company, performed by 7 Ukranian artists.
The show
Following its 5-month sold-out tour in France, My Land now continues touring in the Netherlands. The Ukrainian artists of the piece continue performing and reach out to the audience with a show dedicated to Ukraine. Even during this war time they are each evening are on stage for their home, their families and their friends, as they believe that art is their most powerful tool to stand with their homeland.
Recirquel’s cirque danse production features seven of Ukraine’s most talented young circus artists. What is more, My Land was created based on their personal stories, it talks about the performers’ love for and devotion to their homeland, Ukraine. Their roots are of key importance in the music of the show, as well. Traditional Tatar, Moldavian, and other music pieces from Ukraine were used to create the musical score of My Land.
My Land is part modern dance, part circus Cirque du Soleil like performance, incorporating theatrical finesse and the energy of the Eastern European acrobatic arts to create the new performing arts genre, cirque danse. My Land premiered at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018, where it was rated by critics as the best production of the entire Edinburgh International Festival.

Would you like to visit this show? All Ukranian refugees in Amstelveen are invited free of charge. A volunteer/member of the guest family who accompanies refugees is also welcome for free.
